Destroying a server

Permanently delete a server and stop its billing.

Last verified

  1. Open the server.

  2. Choose More › Destroy….

  3. Type the server's label to confirm, then choose Destroy server.

What happens:

  • Billing stops straight away. The current hour is the last one charged.

  • The disk and its backups are erased and can't be recovered. Take a snapshot first if you might need it.

  • Its IP address is released, unless it's a reserved IP. Reserved IPs stay on your account.

  • It's removed from any load balancer.
