Before you deploy
What's the difference between hourly and monthly billing?
For a full month, nothing. Hourly servers bill by the hour and stop at 672 hours, so a server that runs all month costs exactly the monthly price. Hourly is handy when you spin servers up and down.
Does a stopped server still bill?
Yes. A stopped server keeps its disk and IP address, so it bills until you delete it. Take a snapshot first if you want to keep a copy.
Are prices shown with tax?
No. Prices are in US dollars before sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies.
Can I move to a bigger plan later?
Moving to a larger plan in the same tier is a resize from the client portal. Moving from shared to dedicated CPU, or to bare metal, is a migration, and our guides walk through both.
Where are the servers?
Dallas at launch. Chicago and New Jersey open next, then Los Angeles. Pick the region closest to your customers when you deploy.
Can I run Windows?
Yes, on any cloud plan. The Windows Server license is $18 per vCPU a month, so Business with Windows is $134 a month. Windows on bare metal is quoted separately.
