A reserved IP is a public address that stays yours even when the server using it is destroyed. Reserved IPs are billed by the hour; the price is shown on the Reserved IPs page.
Reserving an address
Choose Network › Reserved IPs › New reserved IP, or Deploy › Reserved IP, then pick either:
A new address: choose a location, and IPv4 (one address) or IPv6 (a /64 range).
Keep a server's current address: turns a server's main IPv4 into a reserved IP.
Using it
Choose Add to a server to put it on a running cloud server in the same location. Then add it to the server's own network settings.
Choose Move to another server or Take off to reassign it.
Or pick it as the main address when you deploy a new server.
Releasing it
Choose Release and type the address to confirm. It's gone for good, and billing stops this hour.
An address that's a server's main address can't be moved or released until that server is destroyed. Your account can have up to 4 reserved IPs.
