Finding your way around the portal

The sidebar

• Account menu (top): your account name and your role. Open it for:

  • Billing, Usage and Invoices

  • Team, Settings and Security

  • Your profile, Keyboard shortcuts and Appearance (Light, Dark or System)

  • Sign out

  • Billing accounts, if you belong to more than one, to switch between them

• Deploy: a menu to create something new: shared hosting, a server, a load balancer, a snapshot from a URL, or a reserved IP.

• Dashboard: your balance, spending, services, domains and recent activity.

• Compute: Instances (your servers) and Shared Hosting.

• Domains: My Domains, Find a Domain and Transfer a Domain.

• Storage: Backups and Snapshots.

• Network: VPC Networks, Firewall Groups, Load Balancers and Reserved IPs.

• Orchestration: ISOs, SSH Keys and Startup Scripts.

• Support: opens a chat with our team.

• Balance card (bottom): what you have available and roughly how long it lasts. The + adds funds from any page.

You can collapse the sidebar to icons with the button at the top of the page, or with ⌘B (Ctrl+B on Windows). On a phone, the sidebar slides out from the menu button.

Search

Choose Search or jump to… at the top, or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows), and start typing. You can find:

• servers, hosting and domains

• recent invoices and receipts

• settings sections and pages

• commands such as adding funds or switching account
