Transferring a domain away

Move a domain to another registrar.

Open the domain and go to Transfer:

  1. Unlock it. Not possible during the 60-day ICANN lock.

  2. Choose Show the code to get the transfer code. You'll be asked for your password. The code is shown once; give it only to the registrar you're moving to.

  3. Start the transfer at your new registrar with that code.

We email the account owner whenever the code is shown, and again when a transfer away starts.

Didn't start it? Choose Stop the transfer on the domain's page, then lock the domain again on the Security tab.

Once the domain has moved, its billing with us stops.

Only Owners and Admins can get the transfer code or stop a transfer.
