Two-factor sign-in

Protect your login with an authenticator app.

Two-factor sign-in asks for a code from an authenticator app, such as 1Password, Google Authenticator or Authy, each time you sign in with your password.

Turning it on

  1. Go to Security and choose Turn on two-factor. You may be asked for your password.

  2. Scan the QR code with your app, or enter the key by hand.

  3. Enter the 6-digit code the app shows and choose Turn on.

  4. Save your recovery codes somewhere safe, but not in your email.

Recovery codes

If you lose your device, each recovery code signs you in once. On the sign-in code screen, choose to use a recovery code instead. View or regenerate your codes under Security; regenerating makes the old ones stop working.

If you've lost both your device and your recovery codes, contact support.
